My Chinese Name

So it's all started during ci en's wedding. The wedding was basically consist of 2 languages: English & Chinese. One of the MC start asking me what's my Chinese name because he'll need to translate it. And of course everybody else (the keppo friends) started to butt in :p

All my life, I've been told my chinese name is: Chai Song Na (direct reading, please pardon the spelling). And I never knew how to write it or how to say it in the correct way, and sadly, I also don't know what's the meaning. And because I don't know how to write it, my Chinese expert friend (Arlin :p) can't help me :( And they all say that chinese doesn't have a "Song", and Song is korean and the fact that I'm not korean T.T

Just by the little information they know, according to arlin: I'm a vegetable delivery T.T I feel a bit sad, because for all I know Chinese names are usually deep and meaningful and for girls they usually have relation with being pretty or graceful.

The one that name me is my Great great grandma and my Grandpa, but both are already went back to be with the Lord. Feeling desperate, I quickly sent my dad a message to see if anyone in the family can help me with this.

And thank God my Grandpa's brother was able to write down for me and now I finally know what's the meaning of it :D Proudly sharing:

What it means:

Chai Song Na is how you would say it in Hakka/Khek Language (in the many language of Chinese) so I wasn't technically wrong on the "Song" and in Chinese Mandarin it would say: Chai Chang Na, this what the most common people use.

After knowing what it means, I think it somewhat fitting: I do like to sing/talk/make noise hahaha :D but deeper meaning would be that I always sing praises to God :) and I would certainly hope I am, I do and I will :) Thank God for my Great great grandma and Grandpa who name me :D they're thoughtful.

What's your Chinese name and the meaning do share :D

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone. May the spirit of Christmas live in us not only on Christmas time but everyday of the year :D

Urgent House Renovation

Wednesday morning:

Sunday after church, my dad had a gathering with his choir member (near the church; the church is walking distance from my house) Anyhow.. so as my dad walked home after the gathering he saw that our roof has fallen a bit. he start panicking, with the help of my uncle who also live nearby, they saw the roof (using ladder and flashlight) and its indeed  not in a good condition (the woods holding our roof has been eaten by termite) and it could fall down anytime, basically it's dangerous, especially urgent because rainy season is just around the corner.

The house need immediate renovation. So we've been trying to found a new temporary house that we can move in immediately while having our current house fix. My dad feel a little bum-out because the temporary house we suppose to live in has just renewed their contract. So we have no spare-house.

So we are still in search and in need of temporary housing for about a year T.T A lot of places for rent asking  for 2 years contract. And my dad prefer to be in the area soalnya it'll be easier for him to control tukang2 and any renovation done on our house. There's one empty house in particular we've been praying about, except that the  owner doesn't have any intention to rent-out the place, we've been asking them to re-consider :) It's walking distance from my house too.

We've been praying for about 3 days now, and God still sustaining our house so far :) so thank God :)  we've been slowly moving stuff from 2nd floor to 1st floor. According to my dad if the roof happen to fall, 2nd floor gonna be super damage while 1st floor still going to have strong foundation to hold. and 2nd floor is where our room is too, where we hang out the most! - -" It's a little scary to think: what if the roof fall when we're taking shower/when we're sleeping :D but i know He listens to our payers and His protection is upon us.

Praying for my dad, he's super stress and he's always the pessimistic type, so i was hoping through this he can also increase in faith and trusting that God will indeed meet our need in His time. Hopefully this could be our "experiencing-God" experience. We feel that God was involved from the beginning. First: He warns us, through my dad, could accidentally see the roof when he was walking home, anyone could miss seeing that, i mean i pass the house all the time i never pay attention to the roof, plus my dad rarely hangs out outside church activity, so we believe this was not a coincidence. Second: He provides us with enough money for renovation just a few days before this all happened (through the payment of our place that we rent out). I'm sure He'll bring us through this as well :) Plus, He said: i can trust Him

Wednesday evening:
During dinner time, we received good news, that they're willing to rent the place for us for a year

Thursday:
They gave us rent-price

This weekend:
they need to do some cleaning and touch-ups since the house was unattended before.

Next weekend:
the moving-day! :D
Hopefully we can endure the temporary house well :)

I'm just in awe seeing all this in front of my eyes.
Praise God, He has meet our needs, again! <3>

"you can trust Me"

We (my parents and I)  just had a blood test check up last week. Prior to the blood test day we prayed together especially for my dad, he had trouble going to the bathroom (doing number 2) so we're afraid something might be wrong on his stomach. He's planning to have his feces check.

Let alone, last month one of my relatives got into the hospital, and we found out that his duodenum was bleeding, he was throwing up blood, it's was pretty critical. My dad, in his life had experienced this twice! By God's grace, he's still alive and well. Plus my grandma passed away from stomach/colon cancer. This whole thing add to our worry.

I've watched the daughter of my relatives, when his dad was in the hospital. It's just such a devastating view. My heart broke for her broken heart, seeing his dad lying on the hospital bed, especially during critical time. We all cried but at the same time she has to be strong for the family, it's tough T.T

Back to my prayer: it's hard for me to pray to God with all these worries i have. What if God gave me the worst scenario ever, i'm not ready, i don't want to, i can never be ready. But during prayer time, God gently whisper to me: "It's ok na, you can trust Me." so i continue praying. Whatever happen, i can trust Him.

The blood test result came back 2 days after. And praise God for our results. After getting back the result, that voice re-sounded again in my ear: "I told you, you can trust Me." even when things are the opposite "you can trust Me." :')

Once again He proves us wrong (from all the negative thoughts we had/have)

He's a God we can trust :') <3>

Report: Mission Trip 2012

Here I go, again :)

For last year's trip, our Pastor actually had gone and surveyed the place before the actual trip. This year, all of us have no clue, where we're heading, whom we're meeting, all communication with local church/organization was done through emails and phone calls.

I was pretty surprised to find out that Banjarmasin is the 2nd largest Muslim city after Aceh in Indonesia. Big mosques can be seen even from the airplane as we approached the city.

Our 1st destination was 5 hours away from the city where we landed. We're being picked up by the members of local church and Pastor Erwin who's leading the mission team. a little background on Pak Erwin, he used to lead the church in Banjarmasin, and then decided to go out and do mission-work instead. I was just in awe by that story alone, because a lot of us would seek the comfort in settling down (with work, family, etc) but yet he choose being away where financially uncertain and serve in these little villages that we're visiting. One of the member that went with us on the mission trip was previously a Muslim and was led to Christ through Pak Erwin. And as I met him in person, he's very humble, approachable and close to these villages that he ministers. I am truly touched by what he's doing. These villages where we visited were quite behind, some still doesn't have electricity.

Back to the trip :)
It's one of those times where I find myself most dependent on God. You see there're these little things that worry me:
1. bug (mosquitoes and its friends)
at home, I'm the only one who always get bit - -" and plus with my sensitive skin, bug bite on me usually gives me swollen skin and leaves a "forever" scar. I came prepare with all kinds of bug repellent
2. bed & bath
I don't live at a hotel where they change your bed sheet and towel everyday, but I do have the comfort of knowing that my bed and bathroom is clean and no random things will fall on me while i'm sleeping :D I came prepare with sarung and flip flops.

Despite all the preparations I bring with me, I have to say a little prayer everytime. "God help me as I want to go to sleep. God please be with me as I go take a shower. God please don't let anything fall on top of me when I'm sleeping, etc".
And surely God listens and He answers me in His way and I could come back one piece, praise God. Through ibu Esther, who also sensitive to bug -> I couldn't escape the mosquito bites, even so, ibu Esther bring this medicine, that reduce my swollen to no scar :)

Our 2nd destination was in this place surrounded by river, so the only way to get there is through bridges. There's this bamboo bridge, really shaky and only has strings each side. I mean: people could really fall down easily from this bridge. I was really scare crossing this bridge, but I have no choice I need to get across. Through Melinda (the Banjarmasin mission team) God helped me. She would hold my hands as I cross the river, everytime :) God is so sweet, until the last day, I was able to cross that bridge myself, no-human hands, only God's hands :) I'm an Indiana Jones for God. (It's really 10x scarier than the suspension bridge in Canada)

It's the fastest time in my life God had answered my prayers.
When we're still on our way to the village, I was joking to yossi. She offered me a bread, and so I told her, "No, I don't want roti, I want ayam goreng." and then we laughed. She even opened her pringles for me saying that "this one is the closes to ayam goreng." and then alvin said "don't get your hope high (because it might be tough to get ayam goreng)." So we finally stopped for lunch at this restaurant. And our team came down, a lot of us were busy going to the restroom. While waiting for the restroom, just out of curiosity I checked the lunch we're having, for they already prepared at the table. Guess what? it's ayam goreng!!! :D

This ayam goreng had comforted me so much for I know God is with me on this trip and He listens to my prayers. I had so much confidence in praying for the people there too :)

Children's KKR time is amazing. It's so wonderful seeing these two ladies from domba kecil who dedicated their lives serving God. All 3 villages, 3 different messages, 3 different needs, all met. On one of the KKR the message was about obedience, and it so happened there's this kid who's quite naughty and loud and the beginning. When we're singing he would talk and play/bug his neighbor that ibu Esther had to come separate them. But after the message, at praying time, he prayed so wholeheartedly, that made my heart melt. WOW! I got reminded that God's word has power! power to change :')

Got close with some of the kids there too, it's a wonderful experience, they walked us back to where we're staying, they crossed the bridge no problem - -" they even run on it! I really hoped they turned out to be a woman after God's heart. I would love another opportunity to visit them again :)

I just want to end this with something ibu Leoni said:
"kita aja yang dari kota ke desa udah kayak gini ga betah, gimana Tuhan Yesus yg dari surga ke dunia."

It humbled me :')
I am deeply loved
and guess what?
you are too :')

May 11

A year ago today, i was packing and saying my goodbyes to friends and family of san jose; and to my used to be everyday life; shops at target and valleyfair, eats at santouka, verde, tea-era, hiking underneath the blue skies, driving through cherry blossoms, all CHURCH activities + kissing lotsa babies. Cheers for 1 year surviving Jakarta!

Here i am today as i wrote on my journal, i still have some uneasy things in my heart. but as i read my devotion this morning, God reminds me: (like He always does ... )

Every journey has some parts to it that you won't like, but you can still worship God through those parts. And I would suggest you adopt this attitude: "Maybe this part that I'm in right now is a phase of my life and I'm not going to be here the rest of my life. But this is where I am for now; therefore, I will worship God right now." The apostle Paul says, "Take your everyday, ordinary life - your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life - and place it before God as an offering." (Romans 12:1 MSG)

A-men!

Today: I go to work M-F. Recently been spending friday nights and weekend @D'core or doing things related to D'core. Met yossi at least once a week for yummy meal she made! choir and sunday service are my only church activities, sometimes i go to filemon-fellowship w/ yossi. Thank God for new babies to kiss :* chubby-ones too. Accompany my dad on his check-up routine. Loves eating fruits time with my parents! Grateful :')

Praying today for all the shukoi victims, family and friends!
Praise God for a good weather today, so the rescue team can go to the site.

Introducing: D'CORE

Truth or Justification

I was watching this motivational speaker on a talk show while playing on my ipad. I wasn't really paying attention until he said: "When bad things happened to us, and people said God has a plan for you. Is that the truth or justification?" (kebenaran atau pembenaran)

Are you making yourself feel better or if that's the truth. It got me thinking, am i doing it to my me/others feel better or am i saying it because i know it's the truth?

I do know myself as this woman of little faith that when bad things happened i find myself convincing myself of the truth. But i know i should've known better because not just i know that it's the truth but i experienced the truth so many countless times in my life. It's just in times of trouble, i tend to put them at the back of my mind :(

If you need to be convinced like me at times, let us be reminded to this verse today:
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14)

My mom visited relatives whose dad passed away. He's not a believer. She told me about the rituals that the kids have to go trough (like visited the grave @12am) and that the wife was not permitted to be at the funeral because they believe that "he will take her with him"

I also remember that when my grandpa passed away last year @belitung, my mom took visitor to bought some oleh2 back to a store that owned by unbeliever, and she avoided us because they believe that we bring bad luck to the business. Instead of helping us herself, she asked her worker to help us.

My point: Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8)

So so glad that there's freedom in Jesus (truth) and we're no longer in bondage!

But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
And the Voice of Truth says, "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe
The Voice of Truth

Jakarta eats: Tairyo

This teppanyaki restaurant located at the 5th floor Grand Indo, it's a little hard to find, i went there twice and i couldn't remember how to get there. Anyhow if you see the fountain, then tairyo should be on top of it.

Overall: It's pretty good, simple yet tasty, i just wish they could do more with the presentation. I remember in the state (Benihana) the chef pull interesting tricks as he cooked the food in front of us. The only WOW thing was when the flambee thing with the fire thing happened, it sure caught kids attention, i'm more interested looking at their faces in response to the fire :p

How to order: from the menu, you basically pick the raw ingredient like for example: fish, shrimp, beef, etc... then later they cook it in front of you, they sometimes ask if you would prefer to cook it in asian-style or western style. Aside from the teppanyaki you can order sushi or any other a-la carte, we ordered sashimi on the side.

Enough on the comment, let these pictures speaks for itself:

Blood-Drive

So, a couple weeks ago we have a blood-drive at church.
I've been asked to help out the participants, but at the same time i'm also excited to be the participant :p something i always wanted to do!
Been excited and anxious that weekend, i came prepared myself with a hearty breakfast and prayed to God that I have the chance to do it, because before you actually donate blood they check your weight, Hemoglobin level as well as your blood pressure; to make sure you are FIT enough to donate.

So 1st they check my weight, well i certainly don't have problem in this one! :p They do asked if i was on my period, thank God i wasn't. Next they check my HB, they used this little tool to get sample-blood, then they check your blood pressure. I was quite nervous on this two thing, but that morning praise God, i passed! :') It's a joyful feeling to have because i did watch some participants got rejected because they have anemia or low/too high blood pressure, etc etc

I'm sharing the following pictures, and as you can see they speak for itself :p (click to get a bigger view)

they still run some test after this, hopefully my blood could be useful in helping someone in need, this is the real-pass-test! *praying2*

Asides from blood-drive, the church also do Free checkups on blood-sugar, cholesterol and uric-acid (asam-urat). Taking the advantage of this i had me checked up :p I was nervous on my blood-sugar level because i LOVE sweet! but again thank God for the result, everything still on the normal bracket :)

I was really against this checkup thing, because i'm always afraid to know what if i'm sick then i had to really watch-out on my food, start to take medication, etc etc it's stressful - -" but again God taught me that it's a joy to be healthy and i need to maintain those things not only for myself but also for those who care for me. And so that i can do many more things for God :')

Thank God for health, despite my carelessness in taking care of myself
Reminded to care on my health
Thank God for papa & mama's health as well :')

Note to self:

it's NOT funny

One of the ways Satan tries to get sin and deviant behavior acceptable is to get you to laugh at it. Once you've laughed, your barriers have lowered. If Satan can get you laughing at something that is wrong or sinful, you've already lost the battle.

Sin is not funny. It put Jesus on the cross.

NCWC 2012

Last Saturday i was helping out Domba Kecil with NCWC (National Children's Workers Conference) It would be similar to BASS Conference in my opinion, except that the focus is on the children ministry. A lot of Sunday school teachers from various churches and teachers from Christian School were attending this event. I met my sunday school teacher too in this event :p and some sunday school teacher i've worked with in the past and the attendees came from all over Indonesia, including Papua, NTT, etc etc

It was awesome! there were over 2000 people attending and i could say that the topic and materials addressed are really compatible with the US or maybe a little bit better fit since it's adjusted to the need in Indonesia specifically. I was really proud T.T of Indonesia. They have kids EE as well :)))

Now back-track a little bit: I was really excited to help out, when i heard about this event and how they need a lot of ushers to help out. But then i got lazy midway, we have to attend several meeting before the big events. 1st week i couldn't make it because i have my cousin's wedding and i'm in it. 2nd week i was unable to attend the meet because of transportation issue and not until the 3rd meet which is the LAST meet then i'm able to attend. I had talk with God the morning before the meet, because i feel really bad having this lazy feeling doing this ministry plus there's no one i know doing this with me. So After re-checking my motivation i went to the meet. A lot of people i met were a younger than me and they're all so energetic!! I was a little discouraged being the oldest in the bunch. During the ice breaker one person shared how God had put enough people to help out. On 1st meet there were only 5 ushers, serving 2000 people, which is impossible to handle. After ice breaker we're splits into teams and i really thought they're gonna put me in usher, but i'm actually at registration and there i was the youngest in the team :p

During my not busy time i got to walk around and see stands, they have VBS! and then materials and tools to help teachers demonstrate lesson to the kids from domba Kecil. and they also have this cool program called FBI (a fun way learning the bible) Kids act like they're detective, doing historical research, etc

And on my busy times, thank God for God's grace in holding pee and hunger hahaha :D Thank God for a good system and co-ordination that people actually lining up. After the registration, we're receiving application for certificate (they give certificates for going to workshops and classes) During the meet, i remember someone was saying that we're just gonna do the certificate on the spot because not everyone want one, there's additional cost. But turns out most of the attendees want one! Its a little crazy crowded because we're not prepared for it. But nothing and noone was harmed :) One thing that i was afraid of is the cash money, we have no control over this, we just have to move fast and count it later at our non-busy time. Thank God no-one have to go through the headache of having over/shortage money :)

This year's theme is PASSION and i think i'm one of the person that need that the most now. My fire might have dimmed since i got back here. I'm so glad i went and got rebuked for wanting to stay in the comfort zone. Shame on me for being lazy! I'm not on fire yet, but i think it's a bit brighter. I'm still finding my ways on how i can fit in doing ministry that i'm passionate about and not what is comfort for me to do and i miss GII :(

Please pray for me ...

when life gives you lemons,

you make lemonade :p

After hearing some testimonies from a few people i know and researching on the internet i've been trying-out morning lime for about 3 months now. It's hard to find a good & cheap lemons here, so limes are a good alternative.

Onto the benefits:
- Vitamin C powerhouse! Vitamin C is extremely essential for a strong immune system. Both lemon and lime are a moderately good source of vitamin C, with lemons containing about one-third more vitamin C than limes. A glass of warm water with lime/lemon juice and a teaspoonful of honey is an ideal remedy to keep yourself cold and cough free.
- Good for your stomach. Lemon/lime juice aids the digestion process. The acids in lemons/limes are also good for flushing out the toxins from the bowel tracts that keeps constipation.
- Helps maintain normal blood pressure: Lime juice is a good source of potassium which is important for regulating the heart rhythm and keeping the blood vessels relaxed thus reducing the risk of hypertension.
- Weight loss: Yes! lemon water first thing in the morning. It is an excellent fat burner as well as a brilliant refresher and antioxidant drink.
- Beneficial for hair: Lemon juice if applied on the scalp can treat problems like dandruff, hair fall and oily hair.
- Beneficial for the skin: Lime juice has been used as a bleaching agent for centuries. The antioxidant, antibiotic and disinfectant properties of lime helps rejuvenate the skin and protect it from infections.
- Gum problems: A deficiency of Vitamin C causes a lot of gum diseases (like scurvy which is characterized by swollen and bleeding gums). Regular consumption of lemons and limes, in some form or another, is a brilliant way to keep gum diseases away.

there are many more benefits, but i feel like those represents my experience :) i go to the bathroom more regularly now, although i don't loose any weight but it seems that i don't gain either now that i eat like crazy and don't exercise T.T (pants still fit! :p) i don't weigh myself because the truth hurts :p

how do i prepare this:
every morning, lime water is the 1st thing i drink/eat before anything else. I know-I know some people concern about heartburn(which i do have too) but interesting fact: Lime and lemon taste acidic and sourish but when consumed, they are really alkaline-forming in the stomach. So it's not gonna cause you heartburn! :)
1 lime mix with water and then *gulp gulp gulp* you might not be comfortable with the sour-ness when trying for the 1st time, but the benefit keeps me motivated! :D and after, i have my breakfast as usual.

If you're interested to try this, let me know how it turns out!

Jakarta eats: Bobabits

My other crave is for Boba T.T
the one that i used to drink at least once a week T.T

So last week my BFF told me about this boba place called: Bobabits and so we went there on a friday night. This cute-little-place was packed, in fact they were out of boba when we ordered. But then they quickly got 'em in stock again so we get the chance to change our order back with the big pearls.

I don't know if they're in a hurry to make the boba but it didn't taste as good as i expect it would be, because my friend said it was better before when she tried it the first time... oh well, i guess i need to go there again :D

I ordered milk tea with pudding and my friend ordered taro milk tea with boba and passion fruit tea with aloe, i got to try all, the taste wasn't too sweet so i think that's why a lot of people like it, but i like my sweet desserts :p so it's not the perfect boba yet for me :) but the tea-flavor definitely better than quickly's.

Besides that we also order some snacks: the popcorn chicken and the sweet potato fries, the chicken was just ok, i didn't really enjoy the fries though. I terribly miss verde's chickennn, fried tofu T.T and drinksss and fantasia, ten ren and tea era, all taste much much better than bobabits in my opinion

I totally forgot how much the boba cost, but if i'm not wrong maybe about Rp. 18,000 or so, oh well! i guess i really have to comeback :D The place is fairly new from what i heard, so i hope they would improve :')

Jakarta eats: Han Gang

I was craving Korean sooo much i could die :p
So after 6 months, FINALLY...

Although it only made me miss US so much T.T
i guess my search for a good korean-restaurant has just begin!

Unfortunately i didn't bring my camera that night so all the pictures courtesy Han-gang

You can choose for them to cook the meat for you(to avoid the stinky-ness of a bbq) or cook it yourself, of course my BFF would cook it herself :p yea but the waiter actually ended up helping us with the cooking but eventually asked to leave because we feel the weirdness of having this 4th person in our table and conversation :D

So coming up are our orders:

It come with side dishes as usual(although not as abundant as in the US) and the "grill-thing" is really hottt, like in-your-face HOT because they have this suction-thing to suck the smoke and the smell but it also sucking the air - -" but good thing the meat-cooking process is quite fast :') The meat comes with lettuce wraps, garlic and cut-jalapeno, and some with mushroom and onions.

This is beef-tongue (useolgui)

This is some marinated beef (jumulleok)

the japchae was over-cooked so the texture was really soft, but the taste was ok

the dolsot bibimbab was flavorful although i couldn't find any beef on mine, we divided by 3 so meaning that the beef must be only a tiny portion

Besides that we also ordered tteokbokki(korean rice-cake/fish-cake hot and spicy dish) which i think this dish is a failure :( and soondobu (Korean sof-tofu soup) that taste a lil' weird and one more meat which i forgot the name. Keep in mind that there's only 3 of us girls and we ordered 7 dishes in total :D we're most satisfied with the meat and disappointed with the rest of the dish.

The total bill comes up to a whopping Rp. 740,000 but good thing with BNI we can get 50% off *phew*

Will i come back?
Maybe for the meat, for the other dishes i was hoping that it just my un-lucky day

Renewed like eagles

So have you ever wonder why?
Renewed like eagles?
Why eagles?

I recently went to a family gathering just 2 days before new year and heard this short sermon taken from Psalm and in the verse there this ever-so familiar "renewed like the eagle's" phrase

So if you don't already know: Eagle goes through a molting process
according to dictionary molting is (of a bird or animal) to lose feathers, skin or hair as a natural process at a particular time of year so that new feathers, skin or hair can grow

This is a time of renewal and restoration for the eagle. At least once in their lifetime an eagle must go through the molting stage. The reason they must do this is because their feathers become dull and they lose their ability to take the eagle high in the sky. His beak also becomes dull and not capable of hunting food. His talons have lost their strength and power. Therefore what they must do is to come to ground level and many of them never survive this molting process. They humble themselves and lie on the ground and pull out all of those bad feathers. They actually scrape their beak on a rock or something like that until it comes off and a new one starts growing. They also do the same thing with their talons. They take their beaks and actually pull their old talons off. And then new talons also start growing. By the time spring comes around they have renewed their feathers, their beaks, their talons and their strength. They are ready then to do what an eagle is born to do. And that is to fly and be a fierce fighter. They are ready to protect their young and to live high in the sky on the tops of the mountains.

This approximately 10+ weeks process will give the eagle another 10+ years of life
Isn't that amazing?
As i research about this, i found useful and encouraging articles if you have time to dig and read :) it helps to understand the bible better :')

Soaring like eagles
Eagle's renewal
The molting process

I hope in this new year we can get renewed
and still be faithful until we're restored

Happy New Year!!!
I spent my new year's eve at home after church watching fireworks from tv and my balcony! while having sate-lontong for dinner :D

It's aamaaziingg fireworks all over the world, and super-loud and noisy fireworks all over my complex, like literally until 2am or more - -" i was watching tv and i barely hear the tv because the fireworks surrounding my house was that loud, and it's a fancy big fireworks too it's not just simply petasan. At times like this i miss US for valuing the rules on residential areas. And this is come from me -> the girl who ADORES fireworks hahahahah, i always wish that disney's 20 min fireworks was longerrr but after that night of 4-5 hours fireworks i beg it to stop d(-_-)b

We have church the next morning and everyone was complaining the same thing, they said that it feels like in the middle of world-war :D and just chatted with a friend of mine on the other side of Jakarta, she was experiencing the same thing too. So new years eve, Jakarta sky was FULL; literally by fireworks! and the morning after was also FULL; with trash :( so saaddd

Despite the noisy-ness, i thank God that i could spent it with my parents having our ritual prayers of thanksgiving and hopes together, surrounded by good food and the warmth of families. My dad is funny, he mistakenly said: happy birthday instead of happy new year :D

i was going to look for fireworks picture but then i stumble upon this picture:

I wish i could see more of the signs they carried.
That's kinda cool to be angry FREE in 2012 :)

I always feel bummed out by new year because i always feel i'm behind i haven't accomplish anything :( and i don't dare to do things as well and that's probably why i haven't accomplish anything - -"

But i stumble upon my friend's status on facebook that said: new year, if you're still around means another chance :)

Cheers for 2nd chances :')
*blushed*
